Children’s Ritual and Build Your Own Hallows: Kathleen Pezza
Send the little ones off to a children’s ritual where they will get to sing and play instruments all in honor of the Kindred. After the ritual, where they will learn about the Hallows, they will have the opportunity to make a Tree or paint their own Well or offering bowl.
Naptime/Panyo: Chris Pezza
After lunch, our smallest guests will have a chance to rest after a very exciting morning. While they are sleeping, our elementary aged friends will have the opportunity to watch the movie Panyo. Panyo is the story of a little boy who rescues the daughter of the ocean goddess and the adventures they have together.
Pumpkin Painting/Carving and Pine Cone Animals: Kathleen Pezza
Little ones get paint brushes, older ones can try blunted plastic pumpkin carvers, but all of them will have an opportunity to make their own pumpkin creation. When the pumpkins are properly adorned, we’ll collect up our treasures from the morning’s Nature Walk and make pine cone animals and acorn necklaces.
Nature Walk: Deb Field
Send the little ones out for a discovery walk on the trails at Camp BB. We’ll look for signs of the Nature Spirits like leaves and pine cones and collect natural objects the children can use for craft making. If we are lucky, we might even spot some local wildlife!
Nature Prints: Deb Field
Turn Nature into art with this ancient Japanese technique! Using found objects (leaves, pine cones, etc.) and paint, children will create colorful imprints of natural things that catch their eye. This is a great opportunity to make a beautiful object last and have fun with paint at the same time. The children can collect the objects they wish to print and a shirt (or clothes) that can get “painty” is recommended. We’ll supply all the rest of the materials.
