Member Resources

Resources for Members of Charter Oak Grove:

Membership

We have two levels of membership in Charter Oak Grove: Friend of the Grove and Grove Member.

Friend of the Grove

A Friend of the Grove is a someone who wants to be associated with Charter Oak Grove, has attended at least one High Day ritual, is current with their dues and has been voted in as a Friend of the Grove.

Friends of the Grove may take part in public, semi-public, and private activities of the Grove but are ineligible to vote in Grove elections (though their voice is always welcome). Friends of the Grove are not required to become Grove Members at any time. Anyone who has attended a High Day ritual may apply to become a Friend of the Grove. Dues are currently set at $20 per year payable annually or quarterly.

Grove Member

Grove Members have voting rights in Grove business and are expected to maintain a certain level of minimum involvement. To be eligible to become a Grove Member, one must have been a Friend of the Grove for at least six months, have attended at least four Grove functions (at least two of which must be High Day rituals) and been voted in to Grove Membership.

To become a Grove Member, any eligible Friend of the Grove may apply (or be sponsored by an active Grove Member) to become a Grove Member at any organizational meeting.

The current amount for Grove Membership dues is $65 per year (payable annually at the Yule ritual or quarterly on the solstices/equinox rituals). Charter Oak Grove maintains membership for Grove Members in ADF International (that is, dues are paid for by the Grove, and the Grove takes care of paperwork.)
